About

Hello There!!

Welcome to theSweetScience, Pound 4 Pound the best boxing news site on the web

If you are lucky enough to stumble upon this page, then I welcome you to my 'Web Presence.' You may be scratching your head right now, :D You see, this page is not real boxing sports site, my name is Tam Nguyen and this is actually my assignment for Internet Communications at Curtin University, Australia. For the last 2 months I've been playing the role of a 'Boxing Journalist' bringing you up to date with the latest 'hard-hitting' boxing news, opinions and commentary. I've also kept everyone engaged engaged via theSweetScience's Twitter broadcast and Delicous Bookmarks, not to mention the latest and greatest youtube boxing videos. I don't plan to keep this site or the connecting profiles active once the project is completed, so don't holler back after March. However you are free to comment on any existing content and are free to send me an email at tam.d.nguyen@student.curtin.edu.au.

Still got any more questions? still confused? Thats it, lets go settle this in the ring...

On a more serious note, you may wonder why I've decided to build my 'Web Presence' on Boxing - Isn't boxing dead afterall? With the ever increasing popularity of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), it would seem that it could soon be the end of this once glorious sport. But it doesn't matter what people think. I'm passionate about Boxing and always will be. The next year or so could really see the sport emerge from the ashes, led by Filipino boxing legend Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao and the return of the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. Their potential matchup could really see the sport boom in popularity once again and lift this Sport back to the top where it belongs.

I've got my fingers crossed, have a great 2010 everybody.

Tam Nguyen, January 2010
